Rising-Prices

Memorial Day Gas Prices Highest of the Year

According to AAA, the national average price for regular unleaded gasoline - $2.74 a gallon - reached its highest price of the year on Memorial Day - after rising for 39 of 41 days.

Gasoline prices surged as a rally in the oil market increased costs at the pump ahead of the summer driving season. Admittedly, consumers are paying less at the pump than they did a year ago, but the overall trend of rising gas prices makes it difficult to budget for transportation expenses.

Meanwhile, since opening our public Flowood, Mississippi compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station, we’ve sold CNG for $1.99 per gasoline gallon equivalent or less – for the last four years.

Vehicles utilizing CNG have parallel fuel economy, cost less to operate, enjoy enhanced engine performance and produce fewer engine emissions. We offer full conversion services through our service center with a three-year, 36,000 mile warranty on all vehicle conversions. The equipment we sell and service has been specifically engineered for a wide range of applications, including private fleets and the residential market.
